What We Do
Plum Meridian Trading imports and operates Japanese premium dessert concepts in New York. We work with Japanese manufacturers and US-licensed importers to bring established products to the New York market with the same quality and presentation they have in Japan.
On the US side, we handle FDA and USDA requirements, New York State compliance, cold-chain logistics, venue operations and local marketing. Our partners in Japan concentrate on the product; we take care of the regulatory, logistical and operational work in New York.
We also plan and run dessert pop-up events in New York and build marketing partnerships with local creators. Each project is structured as a long-term relationship with the manufacturer, with regular reporting on sales, quality control and brand presentation.

Founder and Representative
Richard leads Plum Meridian Trading, a new venture bringing Japanese premium dessert concepts to New York. He is responsible for manufacturer relationships, US regulatory compliance and day-to-day operations.
He is also the co-founder and CEO of Clad Labs, a Y Combinator-backed software company, and studied at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
